Essential oils guide

The essential oils are extracted from different parts of plants and trees. Some essential oils can be used orally diluted in water, on the skin diluted in a base oil (of sweet almonds, for example), by vapor or on clothes, in a handkerchief, pillow, etc. The vast majority of essential oils are contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation, and also for use in children.

- Spruce : obtained by distilling the needles of the cones of this tree. It has a clean and penetrating aroma as well as antiseptic properties. It is widely used in preparations for cleaning, to purify the environment, etc. It could irritate the skin

- Savory : this oil is obtained from the flowery parts of the plant. It has tonic properties and is a very effective antiseptic, especially intestinal. It is vermifuge, diuretic and carminative.

- Basil : obtained from the distillation of flowers and leaves, is used for respiratory infections such as bronchitis or asthma, skin conditions, such as acne, skin ulcers, intestinal problems and headaches. It also has antiviral, antiseptic, antibacterial, antispasmodic, stimulating, strengthens the nervous system, promotes concentration and clears the mind.

- Camphor : extracted from the wood of the mature tree and helps to conserve or restore emotional balance, also has great stimulating action, strengthens and regulates cardiac activity, blood circulation and digestion, increases blood pressure and prevents infections.

- Angelica : is obtained from the roots of the plant. It has antispasmodic, digestive action prevents flatulence, combats stress, fatigue and anxiety.

- Anise : extracted from the seeds and is very effective in relieving chronic bronchitis, flatulence, headache, insomnia and even heavy digestion.

- Tea tree: it is an oil with great antiseptic, fungicidal, cardiac tonic in addition to promoting sweating, cough, asthma, oral candidiasis, nail fungus, warts, aphthae, lice or even dandruff.



- Benzoin : it is obtained from the sap of the tree and its fragrance is similar to vanilla. It has antioxidant properties, preservatives, soothing, sedatives, skin problems such as dryness, rashes, sunburns, hives or wounds, also improves blood circulation, relieves muscle pain, arthritis, gout or rheumatism. It also decongests the respiratory tract, cough and throat irritations. Combat flatulence and colic. It is used successfully for cystitis, flu or ulcers of the mouth. It has calming effect, is used for cases of depression and anxiety and promotes sleep.
